I cut down two of the bushes in front of the porch last evening. Both of them had been damaged by the harsh winter and looked almost dead. They were very ugly. I left a little near the ground because there are promising shoots. Now I have 2 big bare spots and would like to fill them with big colorful flowers NOW. What do you suggest I plant there?
